A pupil of some of the most important viola and chamber music Maestros, Danilo Rossi graduated at the age of 19 summa cum laude, but already from the age of 16 he impressed the critics, winning his first International Competition. As soon as he graduated, he passed the competition for First Soloist Viola of La Scala Theatre Orchestra in Milan, becoming the youngest instrumentalist in the history of the Milan Theatre to have played this role. From that moment on, Danilo Rossi's career will be punctuated by a series of meetings, concerts, festivals and recitals that will take him around the world, performing in the most important theatres and concert halls.
Nestled in music like few others, Danilo Rossi has spanned countless times in musical genres even the most distant from each other.
This is why the numerous collaborations with great jazz or pop artists have made Danilo Rossi a unique example of how it is possible to experience music in its entirety, without any barriers.
Danilo Rossi lives the music in its entirety. Always open to the most diverse experiences, he has had numerous meetings with actors, writers and poets that have led him to perform in the most diverse environments: from prisons to the woods in Trentino (Italy), from the swamps in Sri Lanka to Off Theatres in the suburbs. Thanks to the great Maestros with whom he has studied and to the important artistic meetings in his more than thirty years of career, Danilo Rossi has been able to acquire musical and human certainties, such as to achieve extraordinary results for the many students who have had the perseverance to follow him.
