She was born in Rome and studied under Marianne Eckstein, Peter Lukas Graf and Marc Hantaï.
For years she has been performing in some of the most important concert seasons in the world with various orchestral and chamber music groups such as Rinaldo Alessandrini’s Concerto Italiano (for which she has been first flute since 1998), Europa Galante (Fabio Biondi), Accademia Bizantina (Ottavio Dantone), Divino Sospiro (Enrico Onofri), Accordone (Guido Morini), La Cappella della Pietà dei Turchini (Toni Florio), L’Arte dell’Arco (Federico Guglielmo) with which she has participated in numerous festivals and concert seasons in Italy and abroad: the Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Gotham Early Music Foundation at Lincoln Center in New York, Kioi Hall in Tokyo, La Folle Journée in Tokyo, the Theatre des Champs Elysées in Paris, the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia in Rome, the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, the Colon Theater in Buenos Aires, the Teatro Municipal in Santiago Chile and Rio de Janeiro, the Sociedad de Cultura Artistica in Saõ Paulo, the Theatre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, the Festival Internacionald e Musica in Cartagena (Colombia) The Opera House in Oslo, the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra Season in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, the ORF Radio Season in Vienna, the Stagione e Dias de Musica in the Belem Cultural Center in Lisbon, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Concertos Portugal Telecom in Lisbon, The Lufthansa Festival of Ancient Music in London, the Flanders Festival, the Bath Festival, the Festival of Beaune and others. She has performed as soloist in Japan, the United States, Columbia, Holland, France, Israel, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium and Austria; she has recorded for Opus 111, Naïve, Stradivarius, Brilliant, Dynamic, Inedita.
