Born in Venice in March 1989, Giovanni Agazzi begun his musical studies at the age of six under the guidance of M° Marius Cristescu: he immediately showed a great, natural talent. Salvatore Accardo says of him: "Giovanni is a violinist of great talent, he combines a very pure musicality with an impeccable technique and a very beautiful, warm and powerful sound”. He graduated in 2007 at the age of 18 with top marks and praise (the latter had not been attributed for 25 years) at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice with M° Paolo De Rossi. Since 2007 he has been attending the courses of Maestro Salvatore Accardo at the prestigious "Accademia Stauffer" in Cremona. Since 2008 he has been attending the renowned "Accademia Chigiana" of Siena, always under the guidance of Maestro Accardo; he received the diploma of merit and the title of "Allievo Chigiano" several times. In 2009 he was admitted to the lessons of Maestro Massimo Quarta at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, graduating in 2011 with a "Master of Arts in Music Performance" with top marks and praise and in 2013, always with top marks and praise, with a "Master of Art in Specialized Music Performance". Subsequently, under the guidance of M° Pavel Berman, he attended and graduated in a number of post-graduate courses. He is currently studying with M° Pierre Amoyal.
Since the age of 10 Giovanni Agazzi has been awarded numerous prizes in several editions of prestigious musical events in: Ravenna, Ortona, Massa Carrara, Camerino, Camaiore, Vittorio Veneto (S. Materassi and M. Abbado scholarship). He won a number of international competitions "G. Campochiaro" of Catania (1st prize), "Rovere d'oro" of S. Bartolomeo al Mare (2nd prize), "Andrea Postacchini" of Fermo winning the Paganini Prize for the best performance of Paganini’s Capricci and in the Padua International Competition winning the first prize at the "Premio Virtuositè" and in the "Solos and Orchestra" category with Paganini’s Concerto n°1. Giovanni has also distinguished himself in the competition Riviera della Versilia "D. Ridolfi" winning the "A. Benedetti" prize as best solo violin performer and as the overall winner of the Fusignano "Dino Caravita" competition combined with the "Arcangelo Corelli" prize for best violinist; Giovanni was the overall winner of Arezzo’s "New Horizons" competition, also winning the audience prize. In October 2012 he was the only violinist to have received a plaque by the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano and a scholarship at the 50th edition of the National Biennial Competition "Città di Vittorio Veneto". He has participated in several masterclasses held in Belgium by Marco Rizzi, in Gubbio by Sonig Tchakerian, in Ferrara by Marco Fornaciari, in Riva del Garda by Massimo Quarta, in Lugano with Ivry Gytlis during the Martha Argerich Festival. He has already performed numerous works in Italy (Venice, Padua, Vicenza, Milan, Catania, Siena, Rome, Bari, Turin) and abroad, including the success of the first performance of Wiaroslaw Sandelewski's sonata for violin and piano at the  Chopin Academy in Warsaw. He is part of the Italian Chamber Orchestra, founded by Salvatore Accardo, holding concerts in Italy and abroad. He has performed in various chamber groups (duo, trio, string quartet, piano quartet, piano quintet, sextet and octet) collaborating with Piero Toso, Massimo Quarta, Danilo Rossi, Enrico Dindo and as a soloist with the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto and with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. He currently works in Venice as a soloist with the ensemble “Interpreti Veneziani" holding concerts in Italy and abroad. Giovanni has played Peresson, Stradivari Milanollo (ex-Ruggero Ricci), King of Prussia (ex-David Oistrakh), Giuseppe Guarneri and Andrea Guarneri violins.  Giovanni currently plays a Matteo Goffriller Venice 1713 violin kindly lent by a private collector.
