Lara Neumann started making theatre at the Conservatory of Saint Maurice at the age of nine and at the age of sixteen she decided to turn her passion into her profession. She then joined Cours Simon and the Ecole des Enfants Terribles where, for five years, her teachers Béatrice Agenin, Joël Demarty, Maxime Leroux, Thierry Frémont, Jean-Bernard Feitussi made her discover the world of Brecht, Feydeau, Genet, Racine... In theatre, Lara made her debut in Eugène Labiche's Affaire de la rue Lourcine, Carole Frechette's La Peau d'Élisa, Jean Anouilh's Le Rendez-vous de Senlis, Gabriel Arout's Un goût de miel.
After studying theatre, Lara also decided to work on her soprano voice, deepening her studies with first opera lessons at the Kremlin Bicetre Conservatory in Russia, then with Raphaël Sikorsky.
Laura Neumann subsequently performed mainly in musical performances ranging from song to opera buffa through musical theatre.
In 2001, with her two partners, Flannan Obé and Emmanuel Touchard, she created the trio Lucienne and Les Garçons, with whom she performed in France for seven years; the trio won the SPEDIDAM award at the 2006 Molières ceremony for the Music-hall show.
Laura also performed in M. Choufleury by Jacques Offenbach, Les Saltimbanques by Louis Ganne, Ô mon beau inconnu by Reynaldo Hann at the Opéra de Rennes and at the Opéra de Metz. In 2010 Lara Neumann was hired by the opera company Les Brigands, where she played the role of Aspasie in Henri Christiné's operetta Phi Phi, directed by Johanny Bert.
In 2012 she is Fleur de souffre in L'Ile de Tulipatan by Jacques Offenbach; in 2014 she plays Angélique in Les Chevaliers de la table ronde by Hervé, directed by Pierre André Weitz, with the Palazzetto Bru Zane and the Compagnie des Brigants. In 2016, Emmanuelle Bercot offered her her her first cinema role in the film La Fille de Brest in which she played the journalist Anne Jouan. In the 2018/19 season Lara performs in Hervé's Mamz'lle Nitouche at the Palazzetto Bru Zane.
