piano, Damien Lehman
Damien Lehman has been composing since the age of fifteen. If in his production the piano dominates, he also writes pieces for chamber music and for the voice. His Fuga III was created by Bertrand Chamayou at Les journées Phénix Festival (Jean-François Zygel). For the cinema, he composed and performed the soundtrack for the film Grossesse nervuse by Maxime Sassier. Passionate about the relationship between music and lyrics, he has composed a lot of stage music: with David Lescot, Viktor Vavitch of Boris Jitkov (MC 93, Bobigny), Les derniers jours de l'humanité of Karl Kraus (Auditorium des Invalides); with Guy Freixe, Mon Pouchkine of Marina Tsvetaïeva; with Jean-Louis Benoît Un pied dans le crime by Eugène Labiche (théâtre de La Criée, Marseille); with Adrien de Blanzy, Akapulco; with Jean Jour Collabora with Denis Podalydès, Anne Alvaro, Philippe Torreton, Dominique Pinon....He has recently composed the music for David Lescot's Nos Occupations, which premiered in May 2014 at the Théâtre de la Ville. His musical language integrates elements taken from the Iranian tradition, of which he practices the main percussions: the zarb. This foray into the extraordinary Persian rhythm, since the age of 19, has remained an inexhaustible source of inspiration for him.
