Enzo Restagno, in his activity as a scholar, has turned with particular attention to modern and contemporary music, of which he is considered one of the most eminent specialists at international level. The books he dedicated to Luigi Nono, Luciano Berio, Hans Werner Henze, Elliott Carter, Ligeti, Xenakis, Petrassi, Donatoni, Sofia Gubaidulina, Alfred Schnittke, Steve Reich, Louis Andriessen, Peter Maxwell Davies, Arvo Paert have often been translated into various languages. In recognition of this competence, Edizioni Ricordi di Milano have appointed him artistic consultant for contemporary music editions. Enzo Restagno has joined the activity of the teacher and scholar with that of the musical organization for which he has a special passion considering it one of the highest and most extraordinary instruments of social and cultural promotion.
