Ambroisine Bre, mezzo-soprano, discovered very early a passion for singing. Between Callas’ recordings and her grandmother’s vocalisations, passionate by lyric music, she growed up in the art of bel canto from a young age. After having spent all her schooling in a singing structure, she joined the CRR of Paris and discovered the pleasure of the stage. In 2013, she joined the CNSMDP in Yves Sotin’s class and followed the teaching of great masters such as Michel and Emmanuel Plasson, Sophie Koch, José Van Dam, Teresa Berganza, Anne le Bozec, Jeff Cohen, Susan Manoff, Felicity Lott , Dietrich Henschel, Christoph Pregardien. She often works with Eve Ruggieri, Laurence Equilbey, Marc Minkowski, Thomas Hengelbrock, Christophe Rousset, Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, Alexis Kossenko, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Pierre-Michel Durand, Karol Beffa, Johan Farjot, Oswald Sallaberger, Nadine Duffaut. Her repertory is varied but she particularly likes Mozart, Rossini, Schubert, Brahms, Ravel, or Poulenc. She is also distinguished in many competitions as Pierre Vernes Paris Opera Competition 2017, Marmande International singing competition, UPMCF Competition. In October 2017, with her pianist Qiaochu Li, they won the Duo Chant-Piano Grand Prix, Monaco’s Rainer III Prize at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger International Voice-Piano Competition. Last April, as part of the Opera Grand Avignon’ season, she was “Vanda” in the eponymous chamber opera by Lionel Ginoux, given recently at Reims Opera in a staging by Nadine Duffaut. Then, in May, she played Sesto in Mozart’s Clemenza di Tito under Marc Minkowski direction at the Estate Theater of Prague. Recently, she sang alongside Mariana Flores in a program around Cavalli’s work under Leonardo Garcia Alarcon direction. Next, she will be singing this summer at the Radio France Festival of Montpellier in a program around French melodies, in Orange for the Adami concert, and at Menton Festival in Actaeon by Charpentier and Dido and Aeneas by Purcell with the Talens Lyriques, Christophe Rousset direction.
