choir director, Claudio Marino Moretti
Claudio Marino Moretti graduated in piano in 1979 at the Conservatory of Milan. He has played in important associations and theatres such as La Fenice in Venice, the Festival of Nations in Città di Castello, the Piccola Scala in Milan, the Unione Musicale in Turin. From 1994 to 2002 he was assistant Maestro of the Teatro Regio Choir in Turin and, as Maestro, he directed L'Orfeo di Monteverdi in 1996 and Donizetti's Don Pasquale in 1998. Since 1995 during the Regio opera seasons he has led the white voices choir in the productions of Street Scene (1995), La Bohème (1996), Hänsel and Gretel (1996), Carmen (1996), Boris Godunov (1997) and Tosca (1997).
Since 1997 he has been the Regio Theatre white voices choir's and the Conservatory "G. Verdi" of Turin's Maestro; in the latter he directed the staging of Turandot (1998), Assassination in the Cathedral of Pizzetti (2000), Wozzeck by Gurlitt (2000), Orpheus in hell (2000), I Pagliacci (2001), Mephistopheles and The little chimney sweeper (2002) other than conducting numerous other concerts.
Since September 2002 Claudio Marino Moretti has been appointed Maestro of the Royal Theatre of Turin's Choir.
