Detmold's chamber choir was created by Kurt Thomas, one of the legendary founders of the Hochschule für Musik and internationally renowned choral conductor. The chamber choir, an ensemble of 36 people, performs a demanding repertoire from the Renaissance to modern times. It pays particular attention to 19th and 21st century chapel performances, orchestral works and works from various eras.
