The first quartet with piano of the master Saint saens was initially believed to present to many traits of the German romantci school to be considered wortly of being part of the french artist’s repertoire. The influence of Beethoven, Schubert and Schumann is evident and it was not a surprise since the pieces of this great masters where some of the most requested in Paris in the mid XIX century.
